Tiffany is a miracle! She embodies the woman with the issue of blood, the blind man and Jairus' daughter. These are a few of God's miracles that Tiffany finds herself in. She grew up in church, but fully sought God’s will for her life after she experienced blood clots that led to anoxic brain injury. The day of her injury changed her life forever! This specific day began like typical, she got up and dressed for work. She drove her daily commute to work where she was a Medicare and Medicaid caseworker. On this specific day in March 2012, she got suddenly ill at work and her co-workers called 911 and her routine changed!
When she was in the ambulance, she was resuscitated for the first time. When she arrived at the hospital, she was resuscitated a second time, then placed on life-support and was given two hours to live.
Tiffany suffered life-threatening blood clots in her legs and lungs that kept her brain and body from getting enough oxygen and blood to function. She was in the fight of her life, Tiffany survived but not without going into a battle that can only be won with God.
The blood clots and lack of oxygen caused Tiffany's brain and body to shut down. Two hours passed and she was still here. She was alive but barely functioning. Tiffany went completely blind, lost all of her mobility, had a feeding tube and couldn't talk. She went back to the mind of a child when she was 25 years old. She put up a fight, worked hard in speech, occupational and physical therapy and rebuked negativity. She did everything with God as her guide, she walks with Him.
This life change and obstacle caused Tiffany to cry all the time and experience depression. She lost confidence, self-esteem and wanted to give up sometimes, but she found the strength to keep going. Over these years, Tiffany has regained her mobility, speech, eyesight and confidence. She went blind, but now she can see! Literally!
Tiffany is a miracle! She knows without a doubt that her healing is directly from God's hand on her life. There were so many tough days, months and years in therapy for Tiffany, but she remained a warrior. She learned her testimony is meant to spread hope, faith and love. God hand-picked Tiffany for this journey.
Tiffany has gone through lots of therapy, including: speech, physical, occupational, vision and cognitive therapy. She recalls the time when she was in the hospital bed unable to do anything on her own. She says she simply existed.
Everyday she rises with God in her heart and follows Him as He guides her. The more Tiffany grew comfortable with her new self, the more God revealed her calling. Growth showed that God choosing Tiffany for this journey isn't only for her, it's for His Kingdom.
The path she's traveled since 2012 has been like nothing she's ever known. Since then, her recovery has soared, but she lives with Epilepsy, a seizure disorder. You can learn about her life with seizures here, in her feature with the Epilepsy Foundation of America, "I have Epilepsy, but it doesn't have me."
